1.  One-on-one writing/speaking consultations

We welcome students to bring in their writing or speaking projects during any stage of their work creation process including brainstorming for ideas, outlining, drafting, revising, and editing.

We are happy to work with different genres of writing (e.g. essays, research papers and proposals, reports, fiction/non-fiction writing, résumés & cover letters, personal statements, speeches, presentations, and PowerPoint slides, etc.)

  2. Academic workshops

  • 90 minutes per session

We offer 10 – 12 academic workshops each semester to enhance students’ academic- and study-skills. Past workshop topics include: Basic Essay Structure, Avoiding Plagiarism, APA/MLA Documentation Style, Presentation Skills, etc. Please refer to the full list of workshops on our website (click here to see full list).

  3. Chatrooms for oral English

  • Walk-in, no need to sign up  (Max. 10 people)

60 minutes per session

We offer English chat rooms five days a week to give students an opportunity to practice their spoken English and make new friends. Past chat room topics or activities include: Travelling, Movies, Pop Culture, Food, Local/International News and Issues, Politics, Studying Abroad, Debate, and other selected topics by tutors/students. You are welcome to suggest a topic too!

The EWCC Review (formerly known as CREWzine) is a student-authored magazine that is published annually for free distribution.
